Movie promotions provide that perfect opportunity for actors to speak
'candidly' and create an image outside the 70mm that fans can fall in
love with. But looks like some Bollywood stars just don't see why they
need to be media-savvy. When it comes to throwing tantrums, nothing can
beat some of these Bollywood stars for whom professionalism comes last
and the need to act like a diva comes first. And one actress who seems
to top this list time and again is our very own Hyderabadi, Dia Mirza.

The lady was in her home town with co-actor and co-producer Zayed Khan for the promotion of their upcoming flick together. A week before the stars could touchdown in the city, arrangements were made for an 'exclusive' interaction with the actors. Come D-Day and the affable and candid Zayed is all geared up for an interview. But Ms Mirza is completely MIA. When enquired, the hotel PR informs that 'Ms Mirza is tired and she's taking a short nap'. While every pretty lady needs her beauty sleep, the wait seemed endless as Dia refused to wake up from her slumber for after more than an hour. Several texts and calls went unanswered. Check with the hotel PR and the response was as baffling as Ms Mirza's slumbering act -"We've been told not to wake Ms Mirza up."
With even the Katrinas and Kareenas of the industry going all out to promote their films by being approachable and media friendly, Dia's unprofessional attitude when it comes to promoting a film by her own production house, when she is in her home town, comes as a shocker. Dia should in fact, take a few pointers from the baap of marketing - Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, who have the media eating out of their hands.
