Starlet Zarine Khan, who’s fresh from the success of her item number Character Dheela from Ready, walked the ramp as the showstopper for the grand finale of the fifth edition of Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week for designer Narendra Kumar.The young actress, who’s finding her way in Bollywood, is content with the way her career is shaping up.
“So far, I’m happy with the way my career has progressed. I’m doing the right films with the right people. The song Character Dheela has become a great hit and people now call me sexy,” says Zarine, who has had to deal with her share of weight issues. Remind her of that and she just brushes it all off saying, “People like to talk. I’ve realised we cannot do anything about that.” Zarine is currently busy with one film in Hindi and another in Tamil. While she’ll be part of the ensemble cast of Housefull 2, in Tamil she returns to doing a period drama alongside Tamil star Vikram in the film Karikalan.
“Language is no barrier. As long as the role is great, I’m ready,” says Zarine, who’s bound by a contract that restricts her from talking about her Tamil debut. Though it took her over a year to sign her second Hindi film as a lead actor. Zarine maintains, “I’m in no hurry.”
