Priyanka Chopra is Nikon's first-ever female mark diplomat: Nikon India, the 100 per cent subsidiary of the imaging major Nikon Corporation, has announced Priyanka Chopra as its brand ambassador and launched its latest Coolpix Spring Series 2011 that features ten new cameras. Hiroshi Takashina, Managing Director, Nikon India said, “In the past two years, India has been a high growth market for us. We are planning to expand our market share to 25 per cent in the coming fiscal year with the introduction of 10 new cameras and Priyanka Chopra as our brand ambassador.

Takashina added that Priyanka is Nikon’s first-ever female brand ambassador from amongst its key markets such as Japan, China and USA. On becoming the brand ambassador, Priyanka said, “I firmly believe that pictures speak a thousand words. I am very excited to be associated with a brand that is not only renowned for its superior quality but also one that has helped us capture and retain so many special memories lasting a lifetime.”
